Frequently Asked Questions

What does CDR stand for?
Computer Dealers and Recyclers
What happens to my company’s surplus equipment?
In the event that the equipment cannot be refurbished, we wipe or destroy the data from your IT assets and separate it by material. We only send recyclable material to R2v3 certified companies. This ensures that we maintain a low impact on the environment.
What areas do you serve?
Since our Oklahoma City warehouse is in a central location, we can service virtually any company in the U.S. We have clients from New York to California.
Do you pick up our equipment or do we ship it to CDR?
No matter where you are in the U.S., we can either send one of our packaging specialists in a specialized CDR truck to pack all of your IT assets, or we can send you all the packing material you need to do it yourself. We take these extra steps to ensure that your equipment is shipped safely. Not only do we offer personal pick up, but we can do on-site hard drive shredding as well.
Why should businesses choose CDR Global?
CDR Global’s facility and processes are certified for data sanitization and destruction. We have years of data destruction experience and certifications to guarantee your company’s security. We are committed to customer service and satisfaction – everything we do is centered around your company’s security and confidence.
Why do people need a professional data destruction company rather than just doing it themselves?
There are plenty of reasons why you should hire a professional, but the top 4 are:
- We offer the highest data security and destruction standards.
- Many IT professionals are not experienced in mass amounts of data destruction and recycling.
- Decommissioning an entire company’s assets takes a lot of time away from your IT department.
- Many companies who claim to be “asset disposition companies” don’t have the data destruction experience or certifications to guarantee your company’s security.
What kind of businesses/clients do you serve?
We can service businesses in any field – especially those with highly sensitive data, such as finance, healthcare, insurance, corporate settings, schools and hospitals.
How do I know my data will be safe?
We uphold the highest standards of security in all aspects of our business. Our buildings have 24/7 video surveillance and monitoring as well as access controlled areas. We comply with NIST 800-88 Guidelines for Media Sanitization and go above and beyond making sure your assets are accounted for. Our R2v3 Recycling Certification and HIPAA compliance are also testaments to our high standards.
