In addition to environmental and safety issues, companies have duty of care obligations for Data Protection. Companies should ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to secure the data. This applies to all storage media – Hard Disk Drives, Floppy Diskettes a Tape. This is a particular issue with non-working equipment.
